KHAN Coffee Privacy Policy

KHAN Coffee is a loyalty app for our coffee shops: buy five coffees, get the sixth free. We collect the minimum needed to run that program and sell nothing about you. This page lists exactly what the apps touch and why.

What we collect

Account. When you sign in we store a Firebase user ID and — for Google or Apple sign-in — the name that service provides. We never see your password. Guests get an anonymous ID plus a device identifier so the card stays tied to the device; guest data lives only until you sign in properly or delete the account.

Loyalty card. Your stamp count, lifetime free cups, and a scan log (which staff account scanned you, when, and whether it was a paid stamp or a free cup). The log exists so disputes at the counter can be settled.

Support messages. If you write to support we store your message, the optional photo you attach, your display name, app version and platform — that's what a reply needs.

Usage analytics. Google Analytics for Firebase records product events (a stamp landed, a language changed). Events contain no message content and no precise location. Crash reports go to Firebase Crashlytics. The apps do not use the advertising ID.

Location. On Android the app may ask for approximate (coarse) location to highlight the nearest coffee shop on the map. That location is used on the device only and is never stored on our servers; the map works without it. Google Analytics for Firebase derives an approximate, city-level location from the IP address of each request (the address itself is masked). We never use precise (GPS) location.

Where it lives

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage, europe-west3). Google acts as our processor; nothing is shared with anyone else, and nothing is sold or used for advertising.

When a barista scans your QR code, the staff app shows them your display name and card state — that is the entire visibility staff have.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete account removes your sign-in and profile immediately. Anonymous loyalty counters and the pseudonymous scan log may be retained for bookkeeping; they contain no name or contact data once the profile is gone. To have a support photo or anything else removed, write to us and we'll erase it.

Children

The apps are general-audience and not directed at children under 13.
